I went to this place upon the suggestion of my 14 year old sister because she had been before. I was a little reluctant to say the least. I must say all my fears were squashed after the great experience I had. Not only was the food fresh & authentic but the server Cody we had was awesome. Hands down the best customer service I've had in a long time. Ordered the chicken chimichanga & it was delicious. No complaints at all.

a few months ago i went to the Sombrero and the food was delicious the salsa is very good and the manager is so friendly and nice person, 100% recommended

We were pleasantly surprised because we justed dropped in while passing by and thought Mexican food would taste good. The restaurant is at least a cut above the average sit-down Mexican food place with attractive decor and friendly service. The food was tastier than what normally passes for Mexican flavor in Louisiana. We'll be back.

I was with a large group, (birthday party), we each had a plate consisting of one beef taco, one chicken taco, beans, and rice. The food was good, but taco shells were stale. I will go back but to get something different. Oh and sweet tea was excellent. Waiter was friendly. Restaurant was clean.

Food is good, but if they get busy they tend to forget about refills, bringing the check, or taking payment.

Thursday is $1 taco's and $2 margaritas! The beef on the taco's is alright. Nothing spectacular but, the beef is better than the shredded chicken. (My humble opinion)

The service & the food is always great. Never any issues with our orders. The food is always hot & great tasting.

This is why we eat at El Sombrero. The waiters and managers know us by name, always visit our table to chat, managers are not above filling in cooking to save you time and help the staff. Their menu and specials are great. I've ate at other Mexican- Texmex around town and none can compare. Visit them and see why they rate higher.

Excellent menu options. So different from other Mexican restaurants in the area. The waiters don't have much personality, but the atmosphere is nice, it's a clean place, and the prices are in line with other places.

Quality tacos and well seasoned Colorado dish. Their salsa has a nice kick too. I will return very soon.

Beautiful restaurant & the food was great! The Service was a little slow, but to be fair it was after the lunch rush & I think the waiter wasn't feeling well.

My group and I tried this place for the first time and honestly it was one of the best experiences that I can remember. Nicolas, our waiter (sorry if misspelled) was fantastic and had us laughing with his own unique blend of wit, humor and personality flair. I wholeheartedly encourage people to give this place a shot. I know I'll be back again for sure, hungry for more!

The food is always amazing. Get the Salsa Special with chicken and add chorizo.... you're welcome.

The food is good. Ok, maybe a little better than good. Wait staff was friendly and did not have to ask for refills.

First, the chips are a bit thick. The chips are heavy on the corn mix and a little grainy in texture. The salsa is good. I ordered a shredded beef Chimichanga with no rice. It came out correct and was great. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada and it was stuffed with chicken - very good. Service was ok. I like this place, but gave it 4 stars instead of five mainly for the chips.

Sadly on of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Food isn't amazing but its good.

The food was pretty good, just really greasy and it was on our table 10 minutes after we ordered so I'm sure it was sitting around and was heated up. The waiter was the worst part. I had to get my own refill twice and had to go find him to get the check.

Their live music nights are always great, and their food is always perfect!! They make good drinks, too.

I love this place. I eat here all the time! The fajitas are great, but I love the tacos al carbon. The tomatillo sauce is spicy and good. They should serve it with everything! I have not eaten anything that disappointed me at this restaurant. I think you will like it too.
